2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Ltd review from North America
"Disappointing"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Heater fixed at 42000 miles.
Heater coil in driver's seat went out at 40000 miles.
Battery replaced at 46500 miles.
Driver's window regulator replaced.
Passenger's window regulator replaced.
Heater/air conditioner relay replaced.
Gas cap replaced.
Cold air comes in on the passenger side floor.
General comments?
The vehicle is very expensive to maintain and gets poor gas mileage.
The 4 wheel drive makes terrible rubbing noises when making the slightest of turns and when in reverse.
The problems and expense after 18 months of ownership have outweighed the comfort, power and reliability in inclement weather. I am getting rid of the Jeep before I have to sink any more money into it and will not purchase or recommend another Jeep.
The extended warranty I purchased has not covered any of the items that have gone wrong, which with the exception of the gas cap have been $250 and more with each occurence.
