1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee review from North America
"Rugged, solid, reliable, what else could you expect?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator had to be replaced after 11000 miles of ownership.
Transmission was rebuilt at 160,000 miles and is acting funny again.
Replaced front end gears and mechanical parts because of age.
Power windows are sticky.
Uhhh, nothing else really.
General comments?
This jeep is a great vehicle! easy to drive, lots of power, handles not badly, reletively comfortable, and tows very well. last year, I had the wheels replaced with the limited model rims from a friends 1998 cherokee, and now it looks really nice. my wife doesn't like it though, so she sticks to her Bravada which I think is a peice of crap. the only problem I'm really having with mine is that the transmission takes about 4 seconds to switch into reverse in the mornings when its cold, same as drive. but after the first 2, its fine. I fell that I could trust it with my life, it has never let me down. offroad capabilities are astounding and I have yet to get stuck.
Definitly a vehicle worth looking into!
