1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer review from North America
"Classy 4x4 tank"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The fuel pump.
Starter relay.
Accelerator pump.
The gas gauge doesn't work.
Fog lamps rusted.
Driver's side window broken.
Old wiring.
Rngine has been driven hard (some pinging noises),
and the rear defroster is broken.
General comments?
I have fixed most of the problems.
Off-roads like a bat out of hell! 4WD is serious, can go through mud with no problem. It can climb up a 45 degree hill with mud on it in 4LOW.
Handling is impressive for such a large car. Braking is great. The transmission is in great shape after 13 years.
Strong, comfortable, and versatile.
