I absolutely love this car. It was my first car when I got my license. Before I owned it, my grandmother did and she took pretty good care of the car.
Since it has been in my care, it has taken many beatings, off-road and in the snow. I love being able to plow through snow banks into my driveway.
I have had so many people compliment me on my car it's scary. Everyone loves it.
Everyone of my friends loves this car because it can comfortably seat 5 tall people. This was the prom car and it was great for the three couples that used it, no problems fitting in or staying comfortable.
1989 grand wagoneer with 150K miles: Have replaced alternator, distributor, choke, radiator (twice), fuel pump. An electrical marvel? If you put a window wiper motor, window defogger and electric window motor in one tailgate you will lose two of the three guaranteed. In my case I settled for having the window functional. The gas gauge doesn't work, cruise control is broken, power steering unit leaks. Passenger side window won't go down. Air conditioning is not effective. Have redone leaf springs front and rear and replaced all four shocks. I am debating when to quit trying to save this nightmare. If I can get enough parts to work at the same time my wife says "sell it"!! This is nostalgia no one needs.
