2002 Jeep Liberty Sport review from North America
"I'll never buy another one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Transmission needed to be rebuilt at 99500kms (luckily still under warranty. Transmission shifts hard still to this day and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened again.
A/C fan died, which blew the A/C compressor, which seized the A/C pulley, which chewed apart the Serpentine belt.
Fan blower resistor broke which left me with the fan only operating at highest capacity.
Seat recliner lever snapped off on drivers seat.
Glove box broke at the hinges falls open randomly while driving.
Rear windshield wiper motor seized.
General comments?
The Liberty is great in the snow and during adverse road conditions while in 4x4 but rides very rough.
Guzzles gas getting an average of 12mpg.
Interior space is lacking.
