"I would never buy another Jeep or Chrysler product"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

I bought my Jeep new.

At approximately 34,000 miles the transmission went out with no warning. I had warranty and extended warranty, and it was replaced.

Just this year I have replaced the radiator, the oil sending unit, my tachometer has gone out and I cannot use my cruise control, the brake pads are constantly being replaced, it has poor fuel mileage and now the transmission has gone out AGAIN!

I take excellent care of this jeep and keep up with all service. I found a website for Chrysler and what a joke that is! Supposedly they offer assistance for warranty and non warranty issues. After waiting 2 weeks for "assistance" a very RUDE individual called me back from the "assistance" department and told me he spoke with the service manager at the dealership where I had the jeep diagnosed, and I had burned transmission oil. When I told him that was not true and I wanted a 3 way conversation with him and the service manager, he refused, or I could fax him the invoice from the dealership that explained it was the torque convertor and the front pump and I did not have burned transmission oil. He refused it all!

So I called and spoke with the service manager and she said she did not tell him that. He asked her if I was a LOYAL Chrysler customer who uses the dealership for all service issues, and when she said she had seen the vehicle 3 times from 2006, he told her then I was not a loyal customer and he in turned called me and told me this fabrication. I do not use the dealership for service to my vehicle as I consider them to be a little pricey, but I do have all service records. I tried to call the "assistance" rep back to no avail. He obviously has a boss that cannot speak on the phone and does not have access to e mail.

I would never buy another Jeep or Chrysler product.

General comments?

Unfortunately, if you use a non-Chrysler affiliated garage for any maintenance during the warranty they are quite within their rights to regards it as null and void.

A law was passed in 2003 to enable folks to have their maintenance done outside of dealers, whilst not voiding their warranties.
