2007 Jeep Patriot North 4x4 review from North America
"Thus far very satisfied"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
No problems to date, ratings given will increase or decrease as ownership continues.
General comments?
I find the plastic used is no cheaper then my previous vehicle's except the thick covering on the gear shift which popped when changing gears. Solution was to push it down the shaft as much as possible so all corners were bent in. No more popping.
Very roomy compared to my Vue, however the transmission itself although no problems with it is not as responsive as my other previous cars. The gears are closer together so it's easy to hit 5th instead of 3rd and unless the clutch is fully depressed reverse will not always engage properly.
The wrangler tires are pricey, $250.00 per in Canada, already had to replace one and another has a very slow leak.
Only other annoyance is that the vents are limited as to how high you can aim the air flow. I prefer not to have it directly at me, but above me and they are limited as to up/down positioning.
Good news is that I will receive $1,000.00 from the Canadian Government for purchasing the patriot due to it's fuel efficiency.
