1986 Jeep Wagoneer Limited review from North America
"Awesome off-road beast"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Not much, when I bought her, she had some engine trouble, as the truck had sat for at least 5 years without being run. The engine block was cracked, but luckily, I found a parts vehicle and took the engine out. Otherwise, no problems except for hard starts and a rip in the leather.
I also had some trouble with the rear factory audio system, but nothing that couldn't be fixed with new wiring.
Also, the back hatch seems to be coming apart, but only needs a new screw.
The power antennae is stuck in the up position and the right front area leaks water in heavy rain, but that may be due to the antennae being broken.
General comments?
A very nice truck to drive, I enjoy my Wagoneer immensely. I get a lot of looks on the road, and everyone in the area knows my Wagoneer.
The seats are comfortable, and it is easy to drive. The only downside to this car is the serious lack of gas mileage. It gets anywhere from 12-15 miles per gallon, but the fuel gauge fluctuates a lot.
