2006 Jeep Wrangler Jamboree review from UK and Ireland
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Touch wood, nothing so far.
General comments?
Jeep Wrangler has always been high on my list of 'would like to own' cars. When I was finally in a position to get one, I was specifically on the lookout for the last of the old school ones - 2006, 4ltr petrol.
It is very basic (considering other 4x4's you can buy for similar money). Make friends with your local petrol station owner.
The hood is fiddly to put up and down, after a few attempts you can do it in 10mins ish.
Storage wise there is only enough storage space in the 'boot' for a couple of bags of shopping, even the glovebox is tight, allowing only x1 pair of sunglasses. Of course all these things are what make this Jeep great.
The engine is pokey enough, has plenty of grunt, and on the rarest of days when we get a bit of sun, with the top down there isn't anything in its class that can match it as a rough and ready old school convertible 4x4.
