What things have gone wrong with the car?
My steering wheel locking handle keeps unlocking on it's own. It unlocks and the wheel falls down while I am driving it. I brought it in to get tightened (I thought that is all they needed to do to fix it) and the dealer informed me that I needed a new steering column, and that I had to pay for it because my 3/30,000 expired 12/08.
After talking with him, I stated that this is not wear and tear, this is a safety defect and should be fixed by them.
I have been unsuccessful in getting it fixed at their expense, and in finding any recall for this problem.
General comments?
I love my Jeep and I will keep it until it dies.
I just wish this defect was handled more professionally on their end.
