1994 Jeep Wrangler S review from North America
"An economical entry Jeep model ($6600)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The YJ was in very good mechanical condition when I bought it in spite of some maintenance neglect. It came with great tires and tube bumpers/nerf bars, and a fairly new softop.
Carpet is a tad mildewed, but nothing I can't clean. Body had a few small cosmetic damage areas.
General comments?
The four cylinder engine was in stock form. I removed the air restrictor in the air intake and swapped out the throttle body for one off a 4.0L Grand Cherokee - big improvement. The 235 Yokohamas work quite well offroad, but lose it in mud. I love the off road performance now - can't wait to get some all terrain tread under it.
