2004 Jeep Wrangler Sport review from North America
"This is a real four wheel drive"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing so far.
General comments?
Okay, lets face it. If you are looking for a luxury vehicle this is not it. Buy a Landcruiser if you need leather and off road capability. Buy a Wrangler if you need a world-class off road vehicle that you can scratch up and still love to look at. I bought this Wrangler (my third) because I am working in Mexico and need a vehicle that will go absolutely anywhere and can maneuver in some of the worst traffic in the world (Monterrey, Mexico). It is not comfortable, but anyone who has owned a Wrangler knows that and anyone who hasn't will learn about wind noise and road feel in real way. If you are looking for a vehicle that is truly able to take you over the Rubicon Trail and manuever you through some of the worlds worst traffic with bad road conditions this is the one. I feel a sense of security in knowing that I can take this vehicle anyplace I need to go and although it may not come back looking pretty, it will come back. Buy a Wrangler if you need a real four wheel drive, because nothing else even comes close and I have tried them all.
