2000 Kia Carnival GS review from Indonesia
"Fuel sucker, rubbish"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This car is terrible, it consumes 1 l gasoline for only 4-5 km. Although its engine is big (2,500 cc), the car is powerless, it's even as not responsive as my previous Toyota Kijang.
The quality of this car is also horrible. Metal quality is one of the worst in the world, I think.
Leakage were everywhere: steering pump, pipes, brake system, cooling system. I replaced almost every parts of the car.
Although powerless, the engine is very noisy and rough. every metal parts of it generate very strange and noisy sound.
The worst part is its brake pads quality, I changed the brake pads four times (every 10,000 km it needs replacement).
General comments?
The car is actually quite comfortable although strange sound sometimes entered the cabin.
The cabin, although not the best quality is still attractive.
I tried to sell the car last year, but I found very difficult. Nobody was interested in it. So I just parked the car in my garage hoping someday someone will be interested in buying this MPV.
