2001 Kia Rio LX review from North America
"Should not be allowed on the market"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Comparing a Toyota with a Kia is like comparing a caddy to a moped. The Kia Rio was a lemon and was not dependable, the dealer ignored the issues with the car during the warranty period, the workers knew of issues with this year's model Rio, but were unable to provide a solution, stalling, no power.
I spent more time on the side of the road than on the road...
I will never buy anything with the name Kia on it, including its big sister Hyundai.
General comments?
The car never ran correctly from 3 months of purchase. I would not sell this car to anyone except the owner of the dealer - he deserves to have to drive this car for at least a month, to know exactly what I have been going through for years.
Comfort when you are on the side of the road, there is no comfort.
