2001 Kia Rio review from North America
"Worth much more than what you'll pay for it"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing.
General comments?
Very excellent little car. It isn't very powerful, but the power isn't necessary. It still has pep.
It doesn't look nearly as ridiculous as its class competitors (actually, it looks pretty stylish).
The car has served me well in my daily 70 mile commute, maintaining excellent engine performance, ride quality, comfort and economy.
It plows a bit in hard turns and the tires don't grip well if you take a sharp turn at anything over 15 miles per hour (you can make a rather impressive noise taking a 90 degree turn at 25mph).
The dealer has been very helpful and courteous with all of my questions, and regular maintenance has been timely and proper.
I absolutely love the car. If it weren't ridiculous to do so, I'd buy two (and for the price, I probably could).
