2001 Kia Rio review from North America
"Great control, fast, economic, cute"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Had a small oil leak -- the dealership gladly replaced the gasket in 2 hours (warranty repair). Brakes wear out every 12,000 miles -- but so did the brakes on my old Nissan Sentra (I drive in San Francisco) -- one thing is for sure though -- my brakes are in excellent condition -- not something I could say for most car owners (because they drive for years, without checking brakes -- and then... accidents (sad) ).
General comments?
I think Kia Rio is a great vehicle -- it is beautiful, powerful for its size, and its most impressive feature is how maneuverable it is -- you can make a
u-turn practically on any street without having to shift back and forth. It is also incredibly easy to park in the city -- it has a compact engine -- however it has more interior space than many of its competitors like Toyota Echo. And of course the 10year/100,000 mile warranty is a blast. It is very gas-efficient. ;-)
