This car is not anywhere close to reliable. I never know if I should take it on the highway because I am scared that it will lose engine power again, and I will be stranded with my kids.
My 2006 kia rio car stalled on me. It feels like it is going to do it again. I didn't have this with my last car when I frist got it. It is two years now and it has done that.
Hey about your car losing power on the highway, I had that with my car (suzuki ignis) I know it is not the same brand/model, but many manufacturers get their parts from the same companies so this could help. I brought it to the dealer, they ran the scanner on it and found nothing. I recorded the panel behavior when the problem happened with a camcorder and showed it to the guys at the dealership, they immediatly identified a problem with the Cam shaft sensor, they ran some more tests and figured out the sensor was failing at high speeds with high temperature from engine operation. They replaced the part and fixed the problem!!!
