2000 Kia Sephia Base review from North America
"Greatest little Korean police car ever :)"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Replaced a coil after first two years.
Dashboard cracked; probably avoidable if I had used windshield sun blocker. I live in Florida.
Brakes three times. I live on the beach and salt erosion is a problem for everyone.
Speedometer stopped working after 6 years.
Clutch pedal not disengaging when vehicle interior is hot. That is right now at 150000 miles and 8 years of constant use.
General comments?
This was my first new car, and I have had it 8 years and still drives great, very peppy with the manual transmission.
The interior is looking shabby, but I am an abusive driver of this poor little Kia. It has more than held up to my expectations, and kept me on the go with absolutely no downtime until the clutch pedal sticky issue, which is being addressed as I type this.
Original tires were horrible, but that would be my only complaint besides the dashboard swelling. I can't find a Sephia in a salvage yard where the dash isn't cracked. So this must be the norm.
