1999 Kia Sephia from North America - Comments

OK where to start:

The brakes failed on me the first month I had this car, then three months later.

The cigarette lighter has failed 8 times and counting.

The first winter I had this car it was towed to the dealership 7 times for not starting, 2 of those times for the engine being flooded.

I had the brakes repaired again a year later and now have to get them fixed again 2 years later.

6 months ago the car began acting up when shifting. I would put the car in drive, it would go in reverse and vice versa. The car wasn't driven for two days one time and it took both my fiance and myself to pull it out of park and then it wouldn't go anywhere for a half hour or so, we had to jerk the shifter back and forth numerous times before it would do anything. Now I cannot drive over 30 mph's without the car "freaking" out as in it won't switch gears and just makes a noise like it's not going to go any faster...

The check engine light has come on in my car more then 25 times since I bought it...

The defroster now takes 20 - 30 minutes to clear up my windows when there is only a bit of moisture on them, I hate to see what it would be like if there were ice on them.

The car stalls on startup at least once 90 percent of the time.

NEVER EVER BUY THIS CAR, PLEASE, I AM BEGGING YOU. I have two and a half years left to pay off this car and no dealership will pay off my balance or even come close. I paid 11,550 dollars for this car 2 years ago and the most I can get out of it is a mere 3,000. And I still owe 6,000. Pretty sad.

This is the worst vehicle ever made, if I had the time, energy and money and a damned good lawyer I would sue the pants off of Kia.

First day I took my KIA Sephia home it smelled like inside the engine was burning. it's been her first car, the dealer ship got it back in three days. It's my daugther's rental car. From U-Save Auto Sale. We are still renting. They have not called me back to tell me what is wrong with the car. But it smells wiring is burning in the fuse box is. Buyer beware when a replica dealer ship says,"I've got the perfect car for you, your daughter will love it." It's been a nightmare ever since.
