2000 Kia Sephia Base review from North America
"Cheap car, not bad but troublesome"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The threads on tires went out around 27,000 miles, which seem to be happenning to everyone else as well.
Had the check engine light come up at around the same time. Had to goto dealer on 3 different occaisions to get it fixed, luckily was under warranty.
Car started shaking and losing power at 38,000 miles. Dealer claims its not under warranty because it passed 36,000.
Oho yeah the battery died at 35,000 miles as well.
Have hard time shifting gears to Reverse or 2nd gear.
General comments?
Will never buy a KIA again, should have gotten a 96 civic for that price.
Overall for the price it is not a bad car, if it worked all the time and did not break down. Fuel economy is good and the engine is decent at 1.8 liters. I replaced my factory spark plugs with Bosch 4+. It definitely drivers different.
