"Kia's aren't cars, they are money pits!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

The car is a piece of junk.

Everything you can imagine went wrong with it.

The dealership even went as far as accusing me of putting diesel in my car. That's funny, I thought diesel in my unleaded car would cease it? Yet I drove around in it for 5 days and they even changed the fuel pump in the car and never smelt the diesel. How convenient!

The Kia dealership I dealt with are con artists. Customer service is what you'll see when they are trying to et you to buy or lease one of their pices of junk. After you sign your life away don't expect to get service and yes they will try and peg you for just about anything so they don't have to cover the cost of fixing yur car.

If you are looking for good customer service I strongly suggest you stay away from Kia Gabriel in Montreal. The service manager at kia refused to speak to me in english, the language of my choice. Arrogance is something they pride themselves on.

As for the car problems, engine light keeps coming on. They can't seem to fix it after having seen them 3 times. Within 3 months of buying the car the brakes needed to be change.

The car's get up and go got up and went. The car chugs whenever you accelorate.

All the mechanics that work on my car are about 20 years of age. They look like they just stepped out of mechanic school. How can they possible have enough experience to fis my car that never seems to get fixed?

I had an A/C on my lease and the dealership had given me my car until the A/C would be installed in my car. That took 6 months to get done.

General comments?

If anyone want a good car for a good price don't buy a Kia. It's a crappy car for way too much money in my opinion. Kia is lacking in good customer service and as far as I'm concerned, Kia will never get me referring anyone to them and I will never drop a penny in that place again. If, however, you are looing for a life full of drama, then buy a kia!

I read the review of KIA which had particular reference to the KIA Gabriel dealership in Montreal. I have to concur with your statement. I used a loaner car while they were giving my leased KIA Rio an oil change and a tune up and when I brought it back they accused me of scratching the car and TRIED to charge me 800$ (which I only found out about when my insurance called and asked if I wanted to put the claim through...uh, that would be a no!). And what kind of scratch costs 800 bucks to repair? Anyway... the charge disappeared miraculously after I kept calling over the bill I had received and demanded to know why this was being charged. With regards to the comment about them refusing to speak English, I hear ya. But to add to that, I speak fluent French and even then, when I call, the receptionist transfers me all over the place and never really listens to what I am asking her about. The customer service there is shockingly bad and beware of those mysterious charges. With regard to the car model itself, I don't have enough experience to comment, but it was my first new car and considering it's only 3 years old, it has cost me a bundle. Beware of bad customer service... low standards tend to spread to other areas of the business!
