2002 Kia Shuma II review from United Arab Emirates
"Car? What Car?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
This is going to be funny, but truth is always stranger than fiction, this car can turn out to be a lemon beyond comparison and expectations.
EVERYTHING, there is not 1 area in the car which doesnot have a problem, lets start with basics.
Starting, duhhh the battery fails as if it is consumable which has to drain out every 2 months maximum 4, why? dealer says you probably leave the headlights or some electrics on when you park, the 4 to 5 batteries replaced and the best part is that when you pull the keys out all electronics are disconnected except the hazard then how the hell can I leave my Headlights or other electronics on while the car is parked.
Steering, Play lots of play how do I define it... umm 1.5 inches, maybe.
Transmission..it's a wow, engage the R and the car jumps as if it is going to hit someone in the back like a rocket and engage the D and you need to press the pedal half way through.
Engine, Mounts destroyed, Car vibrates like a massager, the moment I engage the D gear the massage char is activated and when I put is back in N wow what silence, you can actually burn calories while idling the car in D.
Power and speed, forget the BHP I get left behind by a 84 Sunny or lancer 1.3, haven't seen car crossing 120KMPH.
What more? I said every department in the car has some faults I cannot go on and on and on.
Last, but not the least the noises made by plastics, I can actually move the complete dash board by holding it from the driver side and it moves as if the complete thing is going to fall off.
Body is crap, takes dents like cardboard.
Seals, they shouldn't have put any on the car all fall off.
Seats, one department which is satisfactory, but then how could they leave it alone, they added leather like material as linings and corners which heats up like fire in the middle eastern weather.
Power windows, each makes a different creepy sound.
Enough guys.
General comments?
Now someone from you is gonna ask me why the hell dint you take this up with a dealer, This car belongs to a frnd who should be answering this since I asked him the same thing since I have been driving this Tin Box for the last week.
