1999 Kia Sportage EX review from North America
"The Sportage is a good, reliable vehicle that is well worth the money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My four-wheel-drive went out twice (the dealership told me I should use it every now and then to keep it in shape) ; my transmission had to be replaced; my fan switch needs to be replaced; and my air conditioner hose leaks inside the vehicle.
General comments?
This is my second Kia Sportage. I feel like you're going to have trouble with any vehicle when it starts piling on the miles, and this is no different. I once had a Chevy S-10 Blazer that had to have both transmission and engine replaced, as well as little things here and there. I love my Sportage. It's been reliable transportation and I would definitely buy another one. You can't beat the price. Prior to my purchase of my first Sportage, I was looking at Toyota 4-Runners, which were priced thousands of dollars more.
