1999 Kia Sportage review from North America
"Could have gotten something that cost less to repair"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It seem like everything that can go wrong has gone wrong. And most of it all seem to be electrical and always something different. Then the brakes and now there is something going on with the calipers (?). Two different places told me two different things. 1. the calipers need replacing and I need another brake job 2. The calipers need opening up and I need brake pads. Either way it is going to cost me 400+ to get one of the other done. The fact they say about the convertible top coming of easily NOT! The engine light always comes on. I could have just bought a tracker and been done with it. This car in the first year was good, I drove to VA and back in it, but as soon as it started to need repairs it went totally down hill from there.
General comments?
I understand they don't make the sportage any more I wonder why?
