1999 Lada Vega 110 review from Turkey
"very good and reliable car for 8000 euro. If it rusts or become old, you'll buy one again"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first purchased the car, the instrument panel was not really working. The speedometer was off for example.. Fixed easily as there are no complicated electric circuits here..
Very easy to repair and maintain.
One of the engine mounts was broken at the time of purchase. Changed for security reasons. The muffler was probably the cause. When the car hits something from the rear side, this could happen.
The second gear was a little difficult to operate. Fixed by my dealer and official service. These cars have all the same problem.
The electrical system is of bad quality. Probably a matter of poor manufacturing process..
General comments?
The steering is heavy because there is no power steering. But recent models have a classic oil filled power steering now.
The car handles very well on the tarmac.
The engine has enough power to take every road situation to it's benefit.
Does not like hot weather.
This car is way beyond the old Lada Samara that it replaces now. Much more modern and roomy than the Samara.
