1981 Lancia Beta review from UK and Ireland
"The beta is a real hot hatch that defines classic affordable sports cars"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first got the car the manifold gasket had gone, along with the back box.
The Weber carburetor needed set up this was costly.
Wiring was a nightmare no lights were working inside or out.
Water leaks throughout car puddles every where.
General comments?
Don't be put of by the bad points of the beta as they are a true classic sports car.
The beta looks the part and drives the part, the gear change is tight and the car grips like no other with urgent acceleration.
A real boy racer eater, I was cruising up to the lights as they just turned red and as I stopped a Honda Crx came along side me with the engine revving
as the lights changed we went he couldn't believe it he was about five centimeters in my rear view mirror.
