1999 Land Rover Defender 90 review from South Africa
"Id put my life in my defenders hands, would you say that of your car?"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Honestly my defender never once let me down.
Wait I lied, I once had both the right front as well as the right rear tyre slashed by a rock outcropping on the maluti mountains.
General comments?
My defender 90 gave me the confidence to traverse 60000 kilometres of the roughest most inhospitable terrain africa has to offer.
I would confidently load up my 90,gather my wife and two children aged 4 and 8 and head for the wildest, driest, harshest, rockiest, furthest, most inhospitable most unthinkable destination.
I never carried spare parts/tools etc as I quite honestly haven't got a clue when it comes to engines etc.
I have never found an offroad obstacle / condition that the defender was not capable of handling.
As mentioned, I put the lives of my family as well as myself into the capability as well as reliability of my defender.
Absolutely the best 4x4xfar no doubt whatsoever.
