2003 Land Rover Discovery SE review from North America
"Value and style"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Flimsy rear wiper arm broke (plastic) while I was brushing snow off of the car.
General comments?
The car seems to be very well built, the seats are very comfortable and the interior has a good feel to it.
The 4-wheel drive is excellent, very capable in snow and also off-road.
This is a tank, it is huge and lumbering with a turning radius that is at times difficult. Of course that's what you get when you buy a big SUV so I am not faulting the car itself.
The value is awesome- for under $40K new you get a high-class image, traction control, sunroofs, other goodies.
Drinks lots and lots of gas, in the city I get around 10-12MPG, highway is better. Not a car for commuting or everyday transportation, unless you're already used to driving a big gas pig.
