1990 Land Rover Discovery TDi review from UK and Ireland
"A good all round 4x4 - the best by far!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It had a new head gasket at approx 80,000 miles.
I have put on the following:
A new front propshaft (82.50+vat)
New n/s swivel bearings (60 + vat)
New tyres all round (200 + vat)
It needs a bit of attention every now & then, but it is designed for off roading, rather than living it's life on tarmac!
General comments?
The ride is comfortable, but not firm.
The engine is powerful, but noisy - improved with extra noise deadening material.
It is designed as a workhorse - but has creature comforts.
