"Fantastic vehicle, safe secure comfortable driving position."

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Tailgate not shutting correctly. Bouncing back open when pushed firmly shut.

General comments?

Very pleased with car. Plenty of torque and fantastic off road. Nice high driving position. feels a lot safer than my previous car. Sold on hardtop being removable by one person with roofbars still fitted, though even with these removed, is really a two man job.

My Freelander is approx 3.5 years old, done 39k and the head has a crack in it On speaking to a mechanic this is an inherant problem with the K series engine which land rover insist on putting in the Freelander even though this engine has proved not to be the most reliable! It will probably cost me approx £800 to get repaired, not an amount I would have expected to spend on a vehicle of this age.

Anyone else had this problem! and is there

anything else I should be looking out for??
