Noisy.

First repainted after 43 years!
Lots more I can't remember.
I used her to commute to a temporary job 20 miles up the M6, 6 days a week, for 8 weeks. Every day it got me there and back at about 70mph!!
She always attracts attention.
Although costing a ridiculous amount to insure and run, I have only had to be towed home once in three years with a bit of dirt blocking the carb.
There are newer ones on the scrapheap. She'll outlive me!
Yeh shes a tough old unit and it looks like all that's gone wrong are things you expect after 50+ years
cheers.
I have a 1952 Series I (80") in epsom green. She was reconditioned by the former owner. She has the original 2 litre petrol engine, but now has leather seating (3 front and 2 side benches at the back). New Michelin X 205 R16 tires on her too.
She's great fun to drive in the summer, an open car at the moment, I have the original hardtop roof which I need to refurbish - I'll take the rotted wooden interior out and just respray the aluminium shell - it'll be lighter weight too.
And yes it actually drives quite nippily for such an old lady!
Noisy!!!. I collected my series 1 and drove it 600 miles home. I had to stop and buy ear plugs and headache tablets after 150 miles. Still its the best vehicle I've ever owned.

Yes I agree with the noisiness of the vehicle. my dad owns one and we have to shout to talk while driving! still a great vehicle and great offroad. quite hard to drive compared to the 90.
