1996 Lexus ES300 review from North America
"Excellent used car bargain, very reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Y-pipe cracked at 121,000.
Tie rods won't budge at 124,000.
Some buttons fail to light up on the radio and A/C.
General comments?
The car is great, super-reliable. Not a single moving part has broken at 125k miles. Simply astounding. This car needs only oil changes and light maintenance to stay alive. Although a very comfotable ride (seats are great), it has lackluster handling. Not to say that it handles like a Buick, but you shouldn't mistake this car for a sports sedan. This is one of the best entry-luxury cars on the used market. Repairs can run a little bit on the high end, parts are expensive. However, most parts can be toyota parts, not lexus. By the way, go to the toyota dealers to fix ur lexus. you'll get a much better price!
