1990 Lexus LS400 BASE review from North America

One day on my way home, it was making a different clicking noise, thought it was the water pump, figured at this mileage better do it anyway, it wasn't that, turned out to be the alternator pulley, while I was in there I also replaced the timing belt/chain for maintenance reason and all the other belts, also the radiator hose looked old so I also took care of that.

I noticed the leather Lexus used at first wasn't the best of all, tears really easy, but I haven't seen how well it has been taken care of, but most people that pay over forty thousand dollars for a car take car of them and about every one of these I see have nasty leather. I plan to replace.

I love this car, I don't want to part with it until it is absolutely necessary, might even replace the motor if or when it ever goes out, But from what I have heard they are known to go many many more miles that what it has, I kind of want to be one of those people that are still driving it at 450k on the original engine. I think this car can go for 350k easy taken care of. Needs a paint job because it is faded, it would look like new with new paint and leather which I plan to replace both.It's a keeper, My parents leased one when I was young in it debut and loved it, Theirs was a little nicer than mine, but mine is a huge luxury for me. Extremely powerful V8 and not too bad on the gas mileage. Like the looks, feel like I am driving a Benz. Also got a steal off of Craigslist on it, paid $2500 for a $5500 dollar car and nothing is wrong with the title or Carfax!I recommend this car to anybody, The only newer Lexus I would take over this is the brand new IS or LS, I prefer this LS over the 95-05 models, looks awesome in the smoke gray color!!!
