The transmission is slipping and needs to be fixed.
The information light panel keeps going out.
I'm surprised at how many RX reviews I see on this site where the owners have experienced transmission problems.
Our RX 300 has nearly 120,000 miles on it and thankfully has not had a transmission problem. We have had the engine replaced due to the gelling (sludge) issue - which Lexus took care of (we change the oil every 3,000 miles and have receipts as proof of that) - and even provided a free loaner car while ours was in the shop.
We have had nothing but positive things to say about Lexus and the local Lexus dealership.
I certainly hope that our transmission doesn't fail, but I must say that given the overall experience with our RX 300 - we are very pleased with it, and would certainly buy another RX.
