2000 Lexus RX300 RX 300 review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
My engine was replaced in July 2004.
My transmision has to be completely replaced April 2005.
The engine was under warranty, however, the transmission will cost $5,700 for us
to replace. I ask myself, is this car worth it?? If the answer is no what are my choices. I am embarassed by my Lexus. I have bragged to all my friends and family, you get what you pay for, and our last 5 Lexus' have been a dream. Unfortunaley this car is a lemon.
How many Lx300 year 2000 owners have had problems with the engine and/or transmission????
General comments?
I certainly don't expect Lexus to completly replace a transmission with 80,000 plus miles. I do feel given the fact the engine had to be replaced at 60,000 miles, that Lexus should at least meet us half way. All they said they can do is apologize. We have been excellent customers and advocates of Lexus. After owning this lemon, and Lexus not helping us out, I am visiting other luxary cars dealerships.
