2004 Lexus RX330 from North America - Comments

Hi! I bought rx330 (2004) in January 2008. Since the time I bought the vehicle, I felt jumping in the transmission sometimes & delay in shifting most of the time while driving in the city.

I took the vehicle to the dealer three times, they tried to re-flash the Ecu, then updated the Ecu, & re-flash the Ecu during my three visits. Every time I went to the dealer, I had to pay the money for the work they did on the vehicle.

The vehicle still has a problem & its seems to be worse than before after re-flash.

I spoke to the Service Manager at the dealership & he replied that I am not the only one who has this problem, May be I need to change my driving habit to put the vehicle in 4th gear (I don, t know what does it mean).

I called Lexus Canada & the review team said they cannot do anything.

If anyone has problem with rx330 please email me at hbhatia_98@yahoo.com because I am going to take this matter to the higher level to find a solution for the problem. I cannot accept to buy such an expensive car which comes with a driving training or some sort of expalanations.

Having the same transmission surging problems with a 2004 Lexus RX330. The rest of the performance is great, just get this surging problem. Can never predict when I will have the problem, but seems to happen more frequently after my wife has driven the car for a couple of days. She has her own car so she does not drive the LEXUS regularly. The dealer has reprogrammed the computer and responds with try that and see if that helps. Does not help.
