1978 Leyland Princess 2200 Special 6 review from UK and Ireland
"Much underrated and maligned, basically a good car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The 2200 Princess was my second Princess, having owned a Morris 1800 Princess for the previous two years. Generally both cars were very reliable and never let me down.
The only two common problems with both cars were ensuring the suspension was set level and correct and failure of one of the rubber suspension bushes (not surprising as it was originally designed for the 1100).
The 2200 was a special edition with auto gearbox, full length sun roof and power steering. No problems with engines or gearboxes.
General comments?
These cars were extremely comfortable with tons of room for all passengers, the ride was excellent.
