1992 Lincoln Continental Executive review from North America
"One of the best cars I have ever owned, hands down!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I bought this car for $1500.00 as is. It already had the air shocks removed, and it was replaced by struts and shocks when I bought it. I had to replace a sensor in the tranny, because is would not shift into over drive for about $800.00 including labor, I had a sensor in the motor go bad that made it not start (had something to do with temperature) that was $500.00 including labor, and I had to replace the whole front end pretty much (tie rods, control arms...etc), but I think the dealer I took it too screwed me a little at $1600.00!! I don't think it needed half the stuff they said it did. And normal wear and tear repairs on the car. The A. C don't work, the windows are slow, and the heater motor only blows on high, but I don't care about that stuff.
General comments?
After all the repairs, the car is great for what I have into the car, I think it is still worth every penny. It rides awesome, it gets pretty decent gas mileage (for the way I drive), it's very compfortable, and for 140 horsepower it pulls its weight pretty darn good!!
