2001 Lincoln Continental review from North America
"Not so common luxury performance at a good price"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Left rear power window will not roll down.
Number entry pad on drivers door shorted out, bad gasket seal allowing water into the door. Installed new rubber seal and disconnected keypad.
Bought the car on a salvage title. Older couple owned it since new. Hit a parked car smashed the right front, mostly cosmetic damage. Rebuilt the car.
General comments?
As I said before, I bought this car on salvage. Cosmetic damage to the right front quarter of the vehicle, cosmetic damage with VERY little structural damage. Airbags were not blown. Repaired, painted and installed new parts. Car looks showroom new. Drives new. Paid 3000 USD for it, put 2500 USD into it.
Very luxurious, smooth driving, powerful car. For the money you can find one of these online or with a private party. Looks VERY sharp cruising down the highway. Decent gas mileage. Only complaint that I do have for owning a Lincoln is that the interior does feel a little "plastic" and cheap. Overall a solid car for the cash. Keep an eye on the airbag suspension. Make sure to keep all of the maintenance fully current on this car as things can get very expensive very quickly. Good overall nice ride.
