1997 Lincoln Mark VIII Base review from North America
"A wonderful car for someone with some extra money"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I bought the car the blend door was broke. That is a pretty expensive fix for something so small ($750). Tail lights burned out rather quickly, but that's easily fixed. Driver heated seat burnt out rather fast also, dealer does not stock part still looking for solution.
General comments?
This is a mans car! The 280 horsepower grabs you, luxury is all around, and you won't be able to wipe the smile off your face. Parts are expensive and sometimes hard to find, but everything considered I still recommend it. This is the best car for the money on the market. It is a luxury Cobra that will far exceed your expectations (especially for the price tag). The cool little features (auto-glide, reverse mirrors, message center, tilt/telescope wheel with auto movement, puddle lamps, mirror turn signals, heated seats, two tier dash, etc. The car also rides like your in your living room! The air ride suspension is one of the best parts of the car KEEP IT! It barely cost $1250 to replace the whole system, compressor, drier, shocks, and lines.
