1991 Lincoln Town Car Executive review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Two power windows out.
Headlight switch short circuit.
Windshield wipers won't seat.
Road leveling not working properly.
ABS braking system acts up: sometimes it will seize and kick back.
Eats a quart of oil every four tanks of gas.
Chrome trim on inside of car coming off.
General comments?
I like the ride and feel of the car, but the overall constant attention the car demands would pay for another car.
On the windshield wipers, the Ford dealers want to take out the whole system from the wiper motor to the switch without checking where the problem is. Also Ford likes to keep proprietary control over parts. Their wiper motor costs approximately $60. An after market is only $35. But a lot of parts you can't get after market and the prices stay high. Wiper govenor: $80.
