1991 Lincoln Town Car review from North America
"Overpriced for service"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
March 24, 2003
My experience with our 91 Lincoln is very poor. We purchased the Town Car from friends in Miami for $7,200. Before we left to return to Richmond, we had the car checked and serviced.
We only got as far as south Georgia when the first failure happened. The serpentine belt broke and the car had to be towed to the nearest repair dealer. Had to have over $750 in repairs and two
days in a motel.
Finally got to Richmond and had it checked by 'Quality Lincoln Mercury' of Petersburg, Va.. They did a service check with the computer analysis system and made the needed adjustments and
fluids service. A few months later the door lock switch on the passenger side fell into the door. And the air bag light on the dash board lit up. I checked to see what the cost of the air bag
repair would be and it is almost $700. I elected not to fix it.
This week I took it to 'Quality Lincoln Mercury' again and left it to have the switch replaced or repaired. They had to order the part and it will be a few days to fix it. They did loan us a car to
drive.
So far my experience with the Lincoln Town Car has been very bad.

General comments?
Wish I had never seen this Lincoln.
