I've had to replace the front brake calipers and brake pads and the front rotors. the check engine light has been on since the car was purchased. it now goes on and off randomly. there is a bushing bad in the rear suspension which allows the rear axle to move about an inch when backing up. one of the rear window switches fell inside the door. the front driver window switch won't open the other rear door window. odometer does not work. when the gas tank gets near empty the fuel gauge begins to rise by itself!yes without putting gas in the tank.
Wow it sure seems there is a lot wrong with this car, but I love it. the size, the power the look of the car. it is American full size luxury at its best. on the road it is very quiet it handles very well even with the suspension problem. I can't wait to fix that then it should really handle well.
I agree that this vehicle is a very gorgeous car. It is very sleek and powerful. I do have a comment on the check engine light. I have worked on my 92 inside and out and have learned just about everything that has to do with it. One of the main issues about the check engine light is the throttle body gasket. You might want to remove the throttle body and replace the gasket. I am willing to bet 99 out of a 100 percent chance that the gasket is filled with nothing, but dried up carbon deposit. Clean this out and you should definetly see that check engine light go away and also see an increase in your performace. Let me know if you need more advice, I can try to help you.
