1987 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series review from North America

The only thing that went wrong with this car was the thing that killed it, Rust.

I loved My Town Car and hope to find another one someday. Like I said above the only thing that went wrong with this car was rust. I noticed a noise in the front end and figured Id get it replaced all in 1 shot to avoid any further problems. Three different mechanics all recommended that I did not get it fixed because they would just be attaching a new front end to rust. They said many components including the frame itself, were starting to rust through and within a year it would no longer be safe to

drive. I drove it until the

steering wheel started to shake and I

figured this was the end and drove it to a junkyard. The irony of it all is that the next day a friend of mine said his cousin worked at a welding shop and

was willing to take a shot at welding up the Town Car. Now here comes the sad part, I went back to the junkyard and tried to buy it back and the owner refused, saying he was under no obligation to give or sell it back and to please leave. After 15 min of begging and offering more money every minute he finally yelled that he was not going to sell me back the car and to leave right now and never come back.
