So far... My keyless entry quit working, but I was told that was a quick fix, so it's actually in the shop getting that and other things fixed, too.
The check engine light came on for a 2 day period and then went off, no idea why, either.
The drivers door is starting to drag a little, so I'm having that fixed along with the alarm and while they are checking the check engine light.
The paint... the clear-coat is peeling off... not in big areas, just around the weather stripping of the passenger door, in small areas, looks somewhat like a rock chip. Is this common? My car is a dark blue, so it's noticeable. Is there anyone who can give me a suggestion on how to prevent this? Is the carwash doing it? Is this common? I thought someone told me it was, so I don't know... I thought they said late '90's dark colors were the ones that did it most...
Other than those small things mentioned above, I love this car. It rides awesome, is sleek, (I get comments everywhere I go) and has the best seats I think I've ever sat in. I also love the JBL stereo... just one thing, it doesn't have a CD changer... I happen to have one that I had in my previous car, but aren't sure how to hook it up. Is there anyone who could help me out there? I know where the antenna wire comes in at, but just don't know how to stretch the wire from the trunk so I can plug it into the fuse box for power... If anyone could help me with this, my email is cole_hosselton@hotmail.com
Thanks a lot.
Hey, I have a black Town Car and I just love it, it's amazing.
The paint hasn't started to blemish or peel with that one, but on my dark blue 94 Town Car the clear coat is coming off pretty bad on the doors, and on the trunk. I've heard it's pretty common for blue paint to chip and come off, regardless of car make/model. (Something with how it's made?). I'm not sure, it's just what I've heard.
