1985 Lincoln Town Car review from North America

New water pump.

Valve cover gaskets.

Hood supports.

Brake and gas lines and tank.

Car has just begun to rust, but it IS 21 years old!

We Love our Lincoln. We still get many great comments on our car, generally people say "They just don't make them like this any more do they?"

Or they say "What a great car, I love it"

Or they say "I can't believe you're STILL driving that car!"

This Lincoln has been the most reliable car we've ever owned.

It has been the cheapest to maintain, and I tease all my friends that they have made payments on three different cars while I've had this one paid off for so long that the extra money on gas is a non-issue.

We call it the Boat. And it feels like one. It rides so smooth we don't feel a thing.

Recently we went looking for a second car to replace our truck, and the salesman was saying "this new car has heated mirrors", like this was a big deal, I laughed and said our 1985 car has heated mirrors, so what's the big deal about that??

When the car dealer said they would send our old car to "car heaven" we were offended and left.

Our old boat just won't die. My husband promised me a new car when the old boat dies, but the old boat won't die!!! And to be truthful, I told him I don't want to die before the car does!
