1982 Mazda 323 review from North America
"Excellent car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Since I first got the car, there has been a weird noise in the engine. It finally went at 180,000. I just decided to get a new Mazda instead of a new engine for this Mazda.
The Carburetor never worked right. It would stall at times, and it would take forever to start.
The turn signals were weird. When I would put the left and right blinker on, it did not flash inside, but it flashed outside front and back.
Ball joints were bad. They always banged when I made turns.
General comments?
The inside was in excellent shape, despite its age and mileage.
This car performed well on hills and bad weather.
You can't beat performance and reliability on Mazda's.
I took it on a cross country drive once, and did not ever give me any worries!
