1991 Mazda 323 GTi Fastback review from UK and Ireland
"Performance car, reliable, can now pick them up for little money!!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
HT leads - very expensive and really only available from the maindealer - did however find a kit form from halfords, works brilliantly at a third of the maindealer price.
Driver's window switch went on the 4 block section, £240 from a main dealer - got it at a breakers yard for £40.
Drivers window starts siezing going up & down in winter - in about November I take off the inter-door panel and spray the backets/runners with wd40 and it is then OK.
General comments?
Best car I have ever owned - every other car I have had, no longer than 12 months - never broken down apart from started missing when the HT leads went - I drive pretty fast and considering you can go into corners at 80+ and have no handling problems - just fantastic - sits down really low like a sports car should be, but as good and reliable as a family saloon.
If you are thinking of of buying -do- just be careful of insurance and don't buy parts from the main dealer - there are kits available or breakers yards - mine is on 112k miles and still going strong - the only car that whatever you ask it to.
