1992 Mazda 323 GT from UK and Ireland - Comments

"A daft-looking Nova killer!"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Slight rust over one rear wheel arch and on the sunroof. Easily fixable though... if I could be bothered!

Passenger door handle came off. Again, easily fixed.

General comments?

The GT is a fast little car (about 140bhp) with handling to match. The suspension is quite stiff as standard, which makes it very good 'round tight corners. Predictable, but twitchy oversteer in the dry, and unbelievable amounts of power makes it under-steer loads in the wet- IT NEEDS GOOD TYRES!!!

The power-steering is a bit light for my tastes. This makes it feel like the car isn't actually in contact with the road.

Inside the cabin is comfortable, with bucketed seats and lots of electrical gadgets. Not much room in the back though, although it has the biggest boot in the world...ever!

Quite good on petrol, as long as you're gentle with it.

Looks silly. Mine has been likened too many things- including a teletubby. But at the end of the day its quite fast.

(Watch out for knackered gearboxes apparently. Mine was fine though).

Hi, pal.I also have 323f 92 but I have one question... how to see if the gearbox is alright. I sometimes can`t find the right gear or just can`t switch to it...or sometime I hear..: (you know the noise of peeling the dents.
