2000 Mazda 323 F LXI review from UK and Ireland
"A well equipped nippy turbo diesel with reliability to match"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing Yet.
General comments?
I have done over 3000 miles in just over two months in this car and am yet to have any problems. All my previous cars have been petrol and I was a bit worried about the lack of power compared to them, but the Turbo Diesel engine responds immediately when needed and I have no trouble keeping with the flow of traffic. Like all diesels it can be a bit noisy when cold, but this soon changes once its warmed up which doesn't take long.
The interior is okay with rear seat headrests and plenty of room to move in the front and back and the equipment level is the best I could get for the price I paid (i.e. air con-electric front windows-electric heated mirrors-drivers airbag-ABS-power steering). I haven't been to the dealer yet so I can't comment on their service, but I have yet to hear anyone say that these are not reliable cars and they have been voted most reliable car for the third year running by a leading warranty provider here in the UK.
